Greg Hardy Suspended by NFL

Greg Hardy, who was involved in a huge domestic violence case invoking his girlfriend last year, was suspended by the NFL for 10 games on Monday morning. Hardy is expected to appeal their decision. Hardy, who was not resigned by the panthers, signed with the Cowboys earlier this year. They were expecting a suspension to come even though they signed him. I believe that Hardy will win this appeal due to the case regarding Adrian Peterson. Nothing really happened to him and this incident did not happen until AFTER Adrian Peterson's incident, therefore I believe that his suspension will be reduced to possibly 3 games if not revoked completely.

NFL Schedule To Be Released

It's that time of year again where the NFL schedule will be released. Fans are excited to see who their team will be playing for their home opener and throughout the whole year. I know personally that I am excited because I can't wait to see who the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be playing. I think this is going to be a great year for them and their schedule will determine how well they may or may not do. The NFL schedule is something that fans of all teams look forward to and the NFL needs to hurry up and set a date before fans because more anxious.

Adrian Peterson to discuss reinstatement with NFL

Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson is scheduled to meet with the NFL this week to discuss possible early reinstatement. Peterson was placed on the commissioners "Non Injury-Exempt" List in September 2014 due to the allegations against him regarding his son. Peterson was accused to hitting his son with a "switch" multiple times. Peterson pleaded no contest in November to one count misdemeanor of reckless assault. Peterson was supposed to wait to meet with the NFL, but it seems he is ahead of schedule. This will determine if Peterson will still play in purple and gold next year, or if he will be off to a new team in 2015.

Marcus Mariota, Potential #1 Draft Pick, will NOT attend NFL Draft

Jameis Winston announced he does not plan to attend the NFL draft on April 30th, and now it seems that former Oregon QB Marcus Mariota will also not attend. It was announced on March 31st that Mariota plans on staying in Hawaii with his family during the NFL draft. Mariota told the NFL that that is important for him to be in Hawaii, both culturally and personally, as he celebrates the next step in his life. Marcus Mariota is a potential candidate to be chosen first overall in this years 2015 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Ex Lions DT Ndamukong Suh signs with Dolphins, Signs record deal

A couple weeks ago, it was known that the Detroit Lions were not going to resign star defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. When this news broke, the Miami Dolphins were determined to go "all in" on Suh, and that is exactly what they did. On March 11, the Dolphins and Suh agreed to a contract, which was officially a six year deal worth $114 million dollars. $60 million of his deal will come within the first three years of his contract. Suh stated that he never wanted to leave Detroit, but at the end of the day he had to do what was best for himself and his family. I believe that with the troubles that Suh has gotten himself into within the past few years that he should have not been given this type of contract until teams were confident that he would get his act together.

LeSean McCoy, Kiko Alonso flip teams

Breaking News out of ESPN; Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy will be traded to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for their linebacker Kiko Alonso. Sources say that Eagles head coach Chip Kelly was not happy with the contract the LeSean McCoy currently had, and by trading him, will free up more cap space. Chip Kelly was reluctant to devote almost $12 million dollars in cap space to McCoy after he did not live up to the expectations this past season. I think this trade is a win win for both teams. Eagles and Chip Kelly no longer have to worry about McCoy taking up the cap space in Philadelphia, where as Buffalo is getting rid of Alonso, who they did not want to pay the money, and in exchange are receiver a high caliber running back. It will definitely be interesting to see how things turn out for both players come the start of the 2015 season in August.

Multiple "big name" NFL players released

This past week has been very busy in the NFL. Reggie Bush, Steven Jackson, Brian Hartline, and A.J. Hawk have been released from their respective teams this week. After nine seasons with the Green Bay Packers, they decided to let their star middle linebacker go and test the market. They thanked A.J. for everything that he has done for them the past nine years and wishes him the best. Steven Jackson, who has only been with Atlanta the past 2 years, defined these past 2 years as a huge "disappointment". I believe that Jackson still has what it takes to make it in the NFL, but he just needs to be placed on the right team. Reggie Bush was let go from the Lions, but he will most definitely be picked up once free agency starts, as I see the same happening for Brian Hartline. Expect more jaw dropping releases to happen before the second week of March.
