A couple weeks ago, it was known that the Detroit Lions were not going to resign star defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. When this news broke, the Miami Dolphins were determined to go "all in" on Suh, and that is exactly what they did. On March 11, the Dolphins and Suh agreed to a contract, which was officially a six year deal worth $114 million dollars. $60 million of his deal will come within the first three years of his contract. Suh stated that he never wanted to leave Detroit, but at the end of the day he had to do what was best for himself and his family. I believe that with the troubles that Suh has gotten himself into within the past few years that he should have not been given this type of contract until teams were confident that he would get his act together.

Personally despite Suh being such a threat on the defensive front I just don't see him deserving the money. This is the biggest contract a Defensive tackle has ever signed and I just don't see him deserving it.
ReplyDeleteThe Dolphins needed this sign. Historically speaking, big signings do not go well for the fins in the past but this is different. The fins need to compete with the Pats and stop Tom Brady by hitting him with their front 4. Suh brings physicality and intensity which they need to win this division.
ReplyDeleteI think this was a great move for the Dolphins. I am sure all the quarterbacks in the AFC East are worried about this. It will be interesting to see how good the Dolphins will be in the upcoming year.
ReplyDeleteBig pick up for the Dolphins. They desperately needed to improve their defensive line, and there's no better player to do that with than Suh. Like Josh eluded to, the Dolphins need to work on pressuring the opposing quarterback. Luckily for them, getting pressure on the QB is a specialty of Suh's.
